The organisation:
The Coalition for Children Affected by AIDS
The role:
To spearhead the communications and administrative functions of the Coalition. These range from managing the Coalition’s social media feeds, drafting press releases and social media toolkits, designing communications products, coordinating webinars, and advising on what kind of communications activities would be most strategic and impactful for achieving the Coalition’s advocacy objectives; as well as a more minor administrative role, supporting the organisation of occasional travel, conferences and events.
The candidate:
At least 8 years professional experience of designing and delivering impactful communications strategies that have led to demonstrable increases in online engagement with extensive knowledge of using social media platforms, including Twitter and YouTube and familiarity with social media impact monitoring tools, such as Hootsuite and Google Analytics.
Extensive knowledge of website management tools, including WordPress and very familiar with Mailchimp, Gmail, Hotmail and other email providers and tools.
Experience in writing articles and blogs, and strategic contacts in online global media platforms in which to publish them. (E.g. Major newspapers; Huffington Post Etc.)
Technical expertise in hosting interactive web-based events (e.g. Zoom).
Experience coordinating administrative functions (E.g. Travel, accommodation).
Ideally, the candidate would have gained this experience within the HIV sector, but not necessarily.
