Registered Manager / Care Manager (Registered Childcare)

£41,000 - £45,000 per annum

The role
You’ll be an enthusiastic, inspirational and nurturing Registered Manager managing the day to day running of the children’s home.

Within this role your responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for opening a new 3 bedded children’s home 
• Managing the day to day running of the children’s home
• Ensuring that all expectations and standards are met, whilst safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, ensuring that the home remains fully compliant with all legislation set out in the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 (CHR). 
• Establishing and maintaining a competent and motivated team, offering leadership, guidance and support and ensuring that company policies and procedures are adhered to and all resources are managed effectively.
• You’ll develop systems for the efficient administration of the home and ensure that the fabric of the home, equipment, appliances and grounds are maintained to the highest standard in accordance with Health and Safety requirements. 
• You will manage all child protection concerns and complaints, liaising with Local Authorities, Schools, Health and other professionals to achieve best outcomes for all young people.

About you

• Our ideal candidate will have the below knowledge and experience: 
• Experience at Registered Manager level previously, or be a Deputy Manager looking to make your next step in your career, either way you’ll be well supported by our client’s knowledgeable and helpful team at Head Office as well as other homes in the Group. Experience of working with Young People aged between 8 - 18 with SEMH is essential 
• Knowledge of children's needs and rights, Child Protection, the Quality Standards 2015 and Children’s Home Regulations is essential
• Experience in carrying out administrative tasks, including recording, report writing and rota preparation, a thorough understanding of safeguarding within a social care setting and an awareness of good childcare planning principles. 
• Ability to create inspiring, creative and stable environments for our client’s young people to live and socialise in, as well as inspiring confidence in your team and being able to develop our future leaders. 
• Due to the nature of this role a full UK Driving Licence and flexible working approach is essential.

• Basic Salary £41,000 - £45,000
