Partnerships Advisor – Major Donors

Employer
The Leprosy Mission England & Wales
Location
Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Salary
Circa £28,000 per annum
Closing date

As a member of the Partnerships Team, you will be working with fun, lively people who celebrate achievements and support each other through adversity. Alongside a demanding workload, we enjoy fun team days and lunches out together.

We’re looking for a relational person to nurture a group of major donors, meeting their needs as supporters to increase financial support for our work. It’s a fast-paced role with a high workload, demanding excellent attention to detail and exceptional analytical skills. Telling the stories of the communities we support is vital to this role, so you’ll have an external mentor who will hone your superb writing skills to fundraising perfection and guide you through training.

The Leprosy Mission England and Wales (TLMEW) is a leading international Christian development organisation with over 140 years’ experience and is part of the TLM worldwide family. TLMEW serves the poorest of the poor in 10 countries across Africa and Asia, raising funds to provide life-changing healthcare, education, training, housing, clean water and job opportunities for people who have only ever known suffering and rejection. TLMEW has a zero-tolerance approach to any harm to, or exploitation of, our beneficiaries, staff and communities we come into contact with. Recruitment to roles within TLMEW includes, in particular, criminal record checks and the collection of relevant references. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from joining us as an employee; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences. Safeguarding is our top priority in everything we do.

TLMEW is an explicitly Christian charity, and part of your role will be to represent the Mission’s purpose and ethos to external audiences and undertake biblical research to locate appropriate scripture for use in TLMEW written material. There is an occupational requirement for the Partnership Advisor to be a committed Christian.

Every member of the Partnerships Team is a committed Christian and we seek to follow and honour God’s call on our lives. We’re part of something amazing, changing people’s lives and there is nothing more rewarding than that!

If this sounds like you, please find more details and apply on our website where you will be asked to complete an application form and diversity form, upload your CV and a covering letter outlining how your previous experience, knowledge and skills equip you to meet the requirements of this post.

Closing date: Friday 11 September 2020 (9am)

Telephone Interview: Thursday 17 September 2020 (between 12 - 2pm)

Second Interview: Tuesday 22 September 2020

The Leprosy Mission, England and Wales is committed to equal opportunities and welcomes applications from appropriately qualified people from all sections of the community. Qualified people living with a disability are particularly encouraged to apply. Registered Charity number: 1050327.
