Job Purpose:

To implement and develop the USPG Fundraising Strategy with a particular focus on churches and individuals.

To project manage and report on fundraising appeals and campaigns to individual supporters and churches in order to grow fundraising income. Focusing on recruiting, retaining and developing relationships with all donors using telephone, direct mail and digital engagement.

This post is based within the Mission Engagement Team which seeks to develop and deepen relationships between USPG and the Anglican churches of Britain and Ireland. It does this through speaking and preaching, strengthening the capacity of a growing number of USPG volunteers and through the promotion of stewardship.

The post holder will be expected to work in close collaboration with others across the organisation and will enjoy working in an innovative creative environment.

Strategic responsibilities:

  • • To work with the Head of Fundraising to develop the Church Engagement Strategy to increase engagement and gifts from churches currently supporting USPG; to engage new churches and supporters; and to re-engage churches whose support has lapsed.
  • To work with the Head of Fundraising to develop the individual giving strategy to increase engagement from individuals and recruit new individuals to become USPG supporters.
  • To be responsible for delivering fundraising appeals and campaigns, ensuring that supporters go on a meaningful journey with USPG and become lifelong supporters.
  • To work closely with the Mission Engagement Team to ensure there are a growing number of engaged individuals and churches with an awareness of both fundraising and Mission Engagement activity.
