Job Purpose:
To provide leadership, strategic direction and coordination of all USPG’s fundraising activity. To develop and implement the fundraising strategy in order to grow income - focusing on recruiting, retaining and developing relationships with donors. To lead best practice in fundraising for staff and volunteers.
This post is based within the Mission Engagement Team which seeks to develop and deepen relationships between USPG and the Anglican churches of Britain and Ireland. It does this through speaking and preaching, strengthening the capacity of a growing number of USPG volunteers and through the promotion of stewardship.
The post holder will work in close collaboration with others across the organisation and will enjoy challenging the status quo and driving change forward.
Strategic responsibilities:
Responsible for income from churches, individuals, trusts, diocese and major donors
To manage the fundraising team made up of Fundraising Manager (Research, Trusts & Foundations), Fundraising Manager (Individuals and churches), Supporter Care Coordinator
To work closely with the Director of Mission Engagement, Director of Communications, Mission Engagement Coordinator and Volunteering and Education Coordinator to ensure there are a growing number of resourced and engaged volunteers to support both fundraising and Mission Engagement activity.
