Citizens Advice is delivering a service called “Help to Claim” which offers end-to-end support to help people make a new Universal Credit claim and be ready for when their first payment arrives.
We are looking for an adviser with good IT skills to support clients to make and complete their new Universal Credit claim, as well as a commitment to the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice Service.
You’ll have the ability to interview clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills to get to the root of the issues and empower clients, whilst maintaining structure and control of meetings.
- £8,736 actual salary per annum
- Part time, 15 hours pw for each post (2 days of either Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday)
- Fixed Term Employment Contract until 31st March 2021, which may be able to be extended, subject to funding
During COVID-19 restrictions, this role will be based from home and will deliver the Help To Claim service as part of a national telephone helpline. When restrictions allow, this role would transition to a Face To Face (appointment) model in both our Harrogate (HG1 5LX) and Skipton (BD23 1FJ) offices – 1 day a week each.
This role is funded until 31st March 2021 by the DWP.
