Citizens Advice is delivering a national service called “Help to Claim” which offers end-to-end support to help people make a new Universal Credit claim and be ready for when their first payment arrives.
We are looking for someone to join our team, delivering a support service for first time Universal Credit claimants. Covid 19 Note: Delivery of the service will be exclusively on telephone and digital channels during the shutdown. The successful candidate will additionally deliver face to face advice when shut down is ended. You’ll have the ability to interview clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills to get to the root of the issues and empower clients, whilst maintaining structure and control of meetings.
Universal Credit (UC) is the fastest growing advice issue for the Citizens Advice service and Local Citizens Advice offices everywhere are improving the support available to people making a claim.
We need people proficient in IT with effective communication skills. Knowledge and experience of welfare benefits advice is essential.
