An exciting opportunity for an outstanding leader has arisen at London Metropolitan University Students’ Union (MetSU). We are seeking a Chief Executive who will support our elected Student Officers, staff team and Board of Trustees to lead the next phase of our development in implementing our new strategic plan.

You are a leader and manager who truly believes in empowering Student Officers, students and staff. A leader with the energy, commitment and belief to turn strategy into reality. You will be an innovative thinker and engaging communicator with the proven ability to build strong working relationships and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
You will be able to lead a team who are responsible for an interesting portfolio of activities and demonstrate your commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. With a proven track record in financial and business planning, you will be a leader of people, open, self-aware and with a natural coaching style.
With strong listening and influencing skills you will bring new ideas, encourage the ideas of others, bringing fresh perspectives and thinking to innovate and grow the organisation.

As the Chief Executive you have a unique opportunity to work with the Board of Trustees and play a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership and guidance to the Union’s staff team. You will thrive on change and believe in creating and supporting a diverse community, which enriches the student experience.
You may have experience in the Students’ Union movement or more broadly in higher education and the charity sector. This is not essential, more important is a passion for our mission, vision, values and the skills to engage with all stakeholders.
