Posts at the Maya Centre are only open to women as a Genuine Occupational Qualification because sex is directly relevant to the personal welfare and counselling being provided The Maya Centre is a thriving, multi-ethnic, professionally-staffed, women's counselling centre.

We work with women harmed by gender-based violence or abuse, often using same language, and have particular expertise in trauma, neglect and deprivation. The heart of our service is 1:1 psycho-dynamic counselling, with group work, psycho-education, complementary and personal development activities in a holistic support and recovery approach.  

We have plans for the future and are looking for a new Director to build on the success of our retiring Director, to support our team of highly competent staff and therapists, and make our vision a reality.   You will be a dynamic leader with strong commitment to delivering high quality mental health services to women, by women.

With knowledge of fundraising, promotion, governance and business development in the charity sector, you will have the energy, ideas and resilience to lead the organisation and deliver on our strategic plan.
