The Sam and Bella Sebba Charitable Trust is a substantial family grant giving trust founded by the late Sam Sebba in 1967. Our vision is to promote a more humane society by supporting the vulnerable and protecting their rights.

SBSCT collective mission is to focus on social innovation effecting transformative change. We are passionate about issues that include human rights, social justice, palliative care, homelessness, social tolerance, refugees and asylum seekers.

We are looking to appoint a full time Chief Executive Officer to succeed our current successful CEO, who is retiring in the autumn after 14 years. During that time, we have grown this non-sectarian Trust to support over 80 grantees in England, Israel and Seattle, making a difference to many tens of thousands of people.

The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of both operational and strategic leadership in granting within the charitable sector, relationship building and advocacy skills as well as the capacity to motivate and inspire. Working with a committed group of Trustees and committees includinghighly involved family members, you will be an energetic, sensitive and creative leader. Our new Chief Executive will resonate strongly with the ethos and mission of SBSCT and have an unrelenting focus on achieving better outcomes for vulnerable members of society.

SBSCT is a small team, so you need to be equally happy working alone and as an effective team player.  You will provide support to the active Board of Trustees and Grant Committees and will need to be comfortable leading grant-giving partnerships, overseeing robust grant processes, advising potential grantees on terms and conditions, and monitoring outcomes.

You will further develop the value-added element of our grant programmes, by facilitating learning and enable influence on policy and practice across grantees.

Further information and details on applying are available in our recruitment pack and please submit your covering letter and application via the apply now button.

Closing date - 13 May 2020 Interview date: 12 June 2020
