Job Details

We are a dynamic housing association operating in the West of England which owns and manages around 6,500 homes with an annual turnover of £42 million. We are one of the largest providers of housing, care and support services in North Somerset driven by our mission of improving lives and benefiting the communities in which we operate.

This is an incredibly exciting time for our organisation as we go through a period of transformation and an ambitious new build programme. We are in a position of strength with the highest regulatory rating of G1/V1 which is complimented by an A1 credit risk grading.

We look to enhance our Board with 3 distinct skill-sets to bring additional expertise and challenge to support our strategic objectives:

  1. Customer Digitalisation - an expert in customer segmentation bringing key insights on who the customer is and how to engage them. You will be in the vanguard, leading on user experience and do not need to be from the Housing Sector.
  2. Organisational Development - assisting the development of cultural change, strategically assessing what the change map is and how this impacts the customer and employee experience to maximise the performance of internal stakeholders.
  3. Housing Development - strategically supporting the social housing development programme for the redevelopment of affordable housing that will be built in line with our environmental and ecological standards. You will be commercially minded, bringing challenge and ambition.

From these appointments we will seek to identify the succession planning of both the Chair of the Investment Committee and Chair of the Remuneration Committee.

The organisation is committed to having a diverse and inclusive Board. We actively encourage applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic as well as those from a younger demographic as we recognise that we are under-represented. It is essential however, that you are able to demonstrate previous experience of governance from a non-executive perspective.

Closing date: 9.00am on Monday 16th March 2020
