Our determination to support everyone affected by myeloma unites us and underpins our commitment to:

  • Empower patients and their families
  • Inform and influence policy
  • Educate healthcare professionals
  • Improve treatment and care

Being part of Myeloma UK means being part of a dedicated team, passionate about making a difference in the lives of people with myeloma and related conditions.  If you are an experienced fundraiser who shares our ambition, commitment and values, you could be perfect as our Director of Income Generation.

About the role

This is a great opportunity to work at a senior level for a national charity at an exciting time. The Director of Income Generation is responsible for the development, management and implementation of our ambitious income generation strategy, which will enable us to continue our record of leadership through our ambitious services and research programmes.  We are looking for an inspirational leader and experienced, successful professional who shares our vision and will drive our income generation programmes forward.

Key deliverables will include leading on the delivery of the income generation strategy to meet income targets, KPIs and outcomes; preparing and monitoring the income generation budget; establishing relationships with leading income providers across various sectors; and providing clear direction and leadership to the Income Generation Team.

Reporting to the Chief Executive as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will also share responsibility for the development and delivery of the strategic and operational plans for Myeloma UK.

About you

With management experience at a senior/strategic level, you will have experience and success in developing income streams and exceeding income targets.  Your experience of project management and budget preparation will underpin your commitment to delivery and innovation, and you will bring high levels of integrity and leadership to your role in order to work as part of a leadership team delivering organisational change and improvement.

You will be a strong and enthusiastic communicator with highly developed interpersonal skills, able to enthusiastically engage with and present to a wide range of people. Like us, you will enjoy working as part of a team, building effective relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.  Your strong leadership skills and ability to inspire and motivate the team to deliver results will be key to this role.
