As we embark on a period of challenges and changes within the hospice sector, this post holder will have ultimate responsibility in developing a fundraising and communication strategy which will grow income to ensure sustainable service delivery and support for our patients and their families, whilst ensuring promotion of Cransley Hospice and its services by raising its profile as the lead provider of hospice and specialist palliative care services across the north of the county.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual with the vision to see new opportunities to grow income and able to support the charity through significant change.  In order to succeed in this role you will need to demonstrate:

  • Fundraising and commercial experience, with demonstrable success at forming and delivering against a fundraising and communication strategy
  • The ability to network, build and manage high value relationships and form strategic corporate partnerships
  • The ability to motivate and inspire a team to acheive targets and deliver the strategy
  • Experience and confidence of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent budget management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

As Director of Income Generation and Communications you will report to the CEO and, as part of the senior leadership team, help to present our work to a variety of audiences and grow the charity.  Above all you will embrace our values with a passion, and love working as part of a growing organisation dedicated to improving care for patients at the end of life.

This post offers a real opportunity for the successful candidate to have a direct, tangible impact on the charity by strengthening and increasing support, expanding our income streams and improving awareness of the charity – helping us to continue to provide much needed care to the thousands of local people living within or affected by life-limiting illnesses or complex health issues.

If you want to be part of an established and successful organisation and have the ambition to help drive our strategy and changing environment, please get in touch.
