We are one of the busiest repertory theatres in the world and are supported by a broad range of staff, from production teams to front of house, administration and finance.
The Finance Department is currently looking for a qualified accountant with substantial experience to oversee the preparation of the monthly management accounts and budgets, to conduct year end processes and statutory accounts preparation and to support project accounting for major capital projects. Reporting to the Director of Finance, and working closely with the Head of Financial Accounts, the role manages a small team of qualified and part-qualified accountants within the Finance Department. The role is offered on a permanent basis.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified accountant from one of the CCAB-recognised Accountancy bodies or equivalent and able to demonstrate these qualities:
- Substantial accounting experience in a busy medium sized business, including monthly reporting, annual budget preparation, financial modelling and statutory accounts, with the ability to deliver accurate, high quality work and regular management information reports to deadlines and to required standards.
- A high standard of written and verbal English, with strong report writing skills
- Ability to manage, develop and coach a high performing team.
- Ability to manage relationships with key clients or stakeholders across the organisation.
- Commitment to managing own learning and continuous professional development relevant to the role.
