This client is a medical membership body with a rich history. They are the trade union representing workers interests in a variety of fields, in both their professional and personal lives. Before this organisation there was no code of ethics for their profession, demonstrating their position as the leading consultative body and champion of healthcare best practice. With a renowned journal, industry-leading events and careers advice, they offer a wide range of service to their member base. They are primarily based in their London headquarters but have a national reach.

Description

Key responsibilities for the Head of Digital & Content include the following:

* Create and develop the content strategy and associated metrics and research to monitor and improve the outputs

* Create and manage the systems, workflows and standards required to deliver the strategy, working across the organisation to implement these

* Work across the organisation to identify content needs in response to business and member requirements

* Demonstrate leadership and authority with regards to commissioning, purpose, objectives and reporting

* Chair regular planning meetings ensuring contributions from disparate teams

* Drive consistency and high quality of outputs, in line with the brand, ensuring they keep up with latest trends and best practice in content creation, distribution and repurposing

* Maximise engagement with content via owned and earned channels

* Create an evaluation framework to assess the success of content against KPIs, ensuring that reports are provided regularly, and results used to drive up performance

* Manage relationships and collaborate with Heads of Functions and National Offices to support the smooth functioning of the Content team

* Liaise with Head of Marketing, journal editors and journal publishers in integrating content in all channels

* Champion user experience, driving up the quality of digital content

* Create and develop digital governance and standards for the website and other owned channels

* Create and consult on a roadmap for the website, optimising its form, content and functionality in line with user need and leading its ongoing transformation

* Lead the development and management of the intranet as a primary channel for delivering internal communications, sharing knowledge and increasing staff engagement

Profile

* Experience of managing the production of content for social and web

* Experience of managing digital functions and websites

* Understanding of web and social analytics and experience of using data to drive improvements in performance

* Experience of managing teams and internal stakeholders to deliver objectives

* Strong organisational and project management skills

* Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to effectively communicate and influence a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels

* Ability to work well individually and collaboratively as part of a team

* Highly collaborative with experience of working with external partners to deliver campaigns and projects
