Would you enjoy supporting refugees / migrants to progress towards their employment goals? Have you got the skills to help individuals access the services and training they need?

We’re looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic keyworkers to work with refugees / migrants across parts of North Yorkshire - in the Craven, Harrogate, York and Selby areas.

You’ll work with partners to engage refugees / migrants through outreach in local communities. You’ll have your own caseload of refugees / migrants, develop a personalised package of support for each of them and oversee their progress.

You’ll need to have experience of:

  • working with migrants / refugees / vulnerable groups
  • working in an employment support setting / with employers
  • supporting vulnerable people to access a range of support and external services
  • managing a caseload and providing 1:1 support to individuals

You’ll be working on the Connecting Opportunities (CO) project. CO works with new migrants to develop their skills and opportunities to find work and be part of the local community. CO is funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund as part of the Building Better Opportunities (BBO) programme.

You’ll work in close partnership with the BBO Positive Progressions project, which is based in North Yorkshire, and will work from their premises for some of the time.

You’ll be joining Migration Yorkshire. We provide leadership and local support across the Yorkshire and Humber region. We’re hosted by Leeds City Council and based in the centre of Leeds. Find out more about us at:

This post is fixed term to 30th June 2021.
