Job Details
As we strive to protect the environment and tackle climate change at this critical time, we are seeking to appoint a Board member to join the Friends of the Earth Board.
Friends of the Earth is one of the UK’s most influential environmental campaigning organisations with an increasingly important role to play. We are part of an international community dedicated to protecting the natural world and the wellbeing of everyone in it, with around 2 million supporters across five continents and more than 75 national organisations worldwide. Every one of our people is vital to us achieving our goal; that by 2030 the next generation will enjoy an environment that's getting better: a safer climate, flourishing nature, and healthy air, water and food.

Coming up to our 50th anniversary, Friends of the Earth is seeking a new Board member to provide high quality governance as the organisation continues to effect positive change on behalf of the environment.
The new Board member will share the motivation and values of Friends of the Earth, make a strategic contribution to the board and will bring a background in and thorough understanding of finance.
You will have a sound understanding of governance/board experience within a medium or large organisation and senior leadership experience within a public, private or charity sector setting.
Friends of the Earth is committed to equal opportunities and we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. We are keen to encourage applications from people currently underrepresented in the environment movement and on our Board, including BAME, disabled people and LGBTQI+ people.
