Prospectus is delighted to be partnering with a leading Cambridge college to recruit their new Deputy Director of Development. The college is a postgraduate institution with a nascent and successful development and alumni function, and there couldn't be a better time to join!

The Deputy Director of Development will be responsible for a significant portion of the college's philanthropy fundraising and the entirety of development operations at the college. You will ensure that the office runs smoothly on a day to day basis and that resources are best allocated across development, alumni and events. You will personally be responsible for developing and delivering stewardship for donors giving four to six figure gifts, as well as the management of giving circles and giving groups. You will work closely with the Cambridge University central office and will help identify transformational and principal gifts with senior leadership where appropriate.

The selected candidate will have line management experience within a development setting and will personally enjoy and be experienced in asking for major gifts. You will understand the important of bespoke, high-value cultivation, ideally though events within a development department. The selected candidate will have experience in development or fundraising and will ideally be looking to grow their own career through international fundraising too.
