About the role
Our Philanthropy team are recruiting for a Senior Fundraising Research Executive who will create high quality and insightful research in a range of formats which will contribute to the improvement of the size and quality of the prospect pipeline for our Partnerships and Philanthropy teams.
These research projects will feed into team strategies, aiming to increase direct fundraising hours available by improving systems and processes.
You'll provide key support to the research team by preparing reports for purposes including prospect moves management and tracking. You'll also be an innovator, problem solving and process supporting the Operations team to pursue efficient and best practice, as well as compliance with GDPR and data protection laws.
About you
With an understanding of prospect research principles and ethics, wealth indicators and fundraising you'll have a thorough understanding of the principles of the Data Protection Act, GDPR, ICO guidelines, and relevant legislation and guidelines and how it impacts on prospect and donor development.
You'll have strong desk research skills with experience of identifying target organisations and individuals of interest, able to give an insight into the market and prospects. This experience could have been gained in fundraising, recruitment, market research, art, luxury or similar industries.
You'll also have the following skills and experience:
* Able to prioritise and synthesise large amounts of complex information effectively and efficiently to deliver succinct and focused research
* Experience of using a range of research resources, online and desk-based, and of employing a range of techniques and processes for capturing, managing, analysing and disseminating information
* Robust experience of writing a wide variety of documentation for various audiences, from research reports and briefing notes to feasibility documents
A proactive and committed team player you'll have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You'll have good planning and time management skills. You'll be able to take a flexible and adaptable approach to work, adopting new skills and processes in a fast-paced environment.
