About this job

The Helpline Support Officer role will provide support and information to Helpline enquirers providing emotional support and information through different channels, support with embedding new projects and support team with training and recruitment.

The post-holder will provide emotional support and information to people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS) that empowers them to:

  • Live to their full potential
  • Take an active role in their treatment
  • Secure the care and support they need.

Helpline Officers work on a weekly rota basis with seven hour shifts of 9am – 5pm, 10am – 6pm or 11am – 7pm Monday to Friday.  Although our client cannot offer a fixed shift pattern, they can consider any total number of working hours based on multiple of 7.  When applying please state whether you are looking for full-time (35 hours) or part-time (such as 21 or 28 hours).

The charity is in the midst of an exciting, transformational, period which builds on their great history and will drive them towards achieving their mission and vision as they embark on their new 5 year strategy.

Part of this exciting transformation will include an office move for their current National Centre in Cricklewood, NW London to a different location in London. They are currently defining where and what type of accommodation this will be and we really want their staff to be involved in that decision and therefore they don’t envisage a move before Sept 2020.
