Country Implementation Manager, Contract Management System

12 Month Fixed Term Contract

£40,222 per annum + benefits

London

It has been a long-standing ActionAid strategy to diversify income by generating more funding from governments, foundations, and other institutional donors. To ensure this is a success we are investing in the systems and processes we use for managing our increasingly complex portfolio of donor-funded projects, supported by a new IT system called the Contract Management System (CMS). The system has now gone live and we are now ready to leap into an exciting new phase - this is where your skills and experience come in as Country Implementation Manager.

Initially you will focus on leading the process required for country adoption and active use of the system. This will involve rolling out a plan for country implementation, providing active hands on guidance, training, and support to members across our Federation. You will manage a SharePoint based e-learning platform as well as administer our new help desk system. You will manage our global network of trained Super Users too. Important will be the ability to influence senior stakeholders to get buy in to system adoption.

We expect the main surge work in leading the country adoption process to be winding down by September, and from then onwards you will take on a broader oversight role.

To succeed, you must have an understanding of the management of restricted funding requirements and processes, preferably from having managed, or worked, on a donor grant or contract. You will have experience of working with an automated contract management system, as well as operating in an INGO context. You will also be familiar with using NGO Online or other similar grants management tools.

In addition to your technical abilities you must have good communication, capacity building, and influencing skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively. You will also be good at developing and motivating people and must have experience in training, coaching and mentoring. Experience of managing IT systems would be an advantage. Extensive travel will be required.

If you have the skills, motivation and technical knowledge we need please send your CV and motivation cover letter to us via email us via the link by 24 November 2019.

To be considered for this role, you must be able to provide proof of right to work in the location. You are also requested to highlight in the motivation letter how specifically you meet the criteria for this role.  If you do not meet all the essential criteria, please don’t apply as we only invite candidates for an interview if they meet all of the essential criteria listed on the job description. In addition, your application will be stronger if you meet at least some of the desirable criteria.

Due to high volumes of applications received, should you not have received feedback on your application within two weeks of the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful. We reserve the right to withdraw any of our vacancies at any time.

ActionAid is committed to providing equal opportunities for everyone regardless of their background. We value diversity and welcome applications from all sections of the community, in particular women who are currently underrepresented in senior positions. We regret that agency candidates will not be considered.
