Job Details

We have an excellent opportunity for a friendly and self-motivated individual to provide administrative and operational support to the acquisition team in delivering their programmes effectively in donor recruitment across a number of key channels, as Acquisition Assistant.

Position: Acquisition Assistant

Location: Based in Sidmouth, Devon – “an area of outstanding natural beauty”

Hours: Full-time working Monday-Friday 08.30 - 16.30 (Applications from candidates seeking to work between 3-4 days per week will be considered)

Salary: £20,276

Contract: Permanent

The organisation is at an important stage in their fundraising strategy, having achieved considerable growth in the last 5 years. They are investing significantly in their fundraising team to help them towards their ambition of reaching £50m income by 2023.

The Role

The Acquisition Assistant will work closely with colleagues across the organisation on direct marketing campaigns, ensuring donors are serviced appropriately and will efficiently, prepare, raise and reconcile purchase orders, create and accurately maintain the financial expenditure spreadsheet.

You will:

 

  • Support the acquisition team in developing presentations, reports and operational plans.
  • Help gather materials for briefings and training for fundraising agencies on new campaigns.
  • Manage, monitor and respond to donor enquiries and complaints.
  • Provide administrative support to facilitate relationships with external fundraising and service agencies.

 

About You

A strong team worker, with excellent communication, organisational and collaborative skills, you will be a positive and professional ambassador for organisation.

You will:

 

  • Possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Have experience of working in an office environment and undertaking administrative support.
  • Have the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while planning and managing a variety of simultaneous projects to tight deadlines.
  • Have a high level of IT literacy (including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

 

Experience of working with database and e-accounting systems is desirable.
