Location: At our Harrogate (HG1 5LX) office and in Ripon (multiple outreach locations)

Hours: 

  • Harrogate: 30 hours per week (4 days)
  • Ripon: 18.5 hours per week (2.5 days)
  • Adviceline (in Harrogate): 22.5 hours per week (3 days)

Citizens Advice offers confidential advice online, over the phone, and in person, for free. We give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem.  We help with everything from money issues to problems at work, housing to consumer rights.

We are looking for someone who has good organisation and administration skills to support the services delivered by volunteers in our busy office.

The Advice Co-ordinator, reporting to an Operations Support Manager, is responsible for the day to day delivery of the General Advice Service to clients, whether that be face to face, by phone or email. Each Advice Co-ordinator will be predominately based in one location but will be required to travel to the other locations to assist with cover and other related activities.

This role is focused on the integrity and quality of advice delivered at the front line. The role will be the focal point for determining the desired atmosphere of professionalism and warmth within each location and will be expected to manage the vast majority of issues that arise on any particular day at the office. The role will also supervise, manage, quality check and appraise any volunteers involved in delivering the General Advice Service.

Funding: These roles are funded from our core funding from North Yorkshire County Council and Harrogate Borough Council
