Finance Director - About Us:


Earlier this year, we became the Royal Osteoporosis Society and launched our new strategic direction. An ambitious vision for the nation’s bone health means we’ll be expanding our work and the audiences we speak to – bringing new opportunities for income generation.


We need a Finance Director, who will take responsibility for proactively developing and leading the charity’s finances, with commercial aptitude and able to lead on many aspects of business development.


Finance Director - The Role:


Working closely with the Chief Executive, members of the Executive Team and the Board of Trustees, you will be accountable for determining the charity’s long-term financial goals and developing a strategic approach to achieve these goals.


Striving for continuous improvement, to identify areas for growth, supporting income diversification and assisting with the modelling for new charitable activities will be a key element of this post.


Finance Director - Experience:


- You will be a qualified accountant
- Able to demonstrate a solid track record in a senior finance role, ideally in a not-for-profit organisation
- You will have outstanding leadership skills, with the ability to take a considered and clear view on
strategic issues
- Ensuring the same time ensuring the charity has rigorous financial controls, systems and structures to underpin requirements
- We are looking for someone with experience of leading a team through change
- You will be approachable, personable, enthusiastic, resourceful, resilient and able to work autonomously
- Have the ability to clearly engage with employees and communicate the financial ideas and work programmes.
