We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to have a hand in shaping the future of homeless prevention in Nottingham and to make a real difference to the most vulnerable of lives.

Our client is one of the largest locally-based housing groups in the East Midlands. They manage over 9,500 homes and house more than 15,000 tenants across the East Midlands in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland.

Position:Project Manager - Homelessness Prevention Service

Contract: Fixed Term until July 2020

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £31,089 to £35,619 per annum (pro rata)

Hours: Working hours are 37 hours per week, largely covering Monday to Friday 9am-5pm although flexibility is required at times to meet the needs of the service and its users.

About the role:

As Project Manager you will be responsible, amongst other duties, for caseload supervision, achieving the service's key performance indicators, promoting the service internally and externally, working with key stakeholders to continuously improve the service offered, as well as motivating outreach workers.

The Homeless Prevention Service provides outreach support to approximately 300 citizens threatened with or experiencing homelessness. Our client has two emergency housing sites in Nottingham, you will line manage the Assistant Manager for both sites, ensuring the service works with its residents to achieve the targets within their personal housing plans and secure move on.

Homelessness is a problem that can’t be fixed overnight. It takes time, and the contribution of dedicated individuals passionate about helping others. Individuals like you!

About you:

To be successful in the role you will have a big heart and the resolve to help others in need. Other skills and experience include:

 

  • Knowledge of homelessness and housing legislation
  • A sound understanding of the rights and needs of citizens faced with homelessness
  • You will want to put your managerial skills to good use in a values-based organisation that really cares about its employees.
  • You will be a resilient character with the flexibility needed to work in homeless prevention,
  • Comfortable liaising with external partners and stakeholders.
