About the role
As a result of our client’s strong commitment to providing Housing Support Services, they are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join them at their young person schemes. Working with single homeless young people and single young parents aged 16 – 25. You will be supporting them to achieve their goals and aspirations and to develop skills. Enabling them to move-on to successful, independent living and encourage them to lead flourishing lives.
Duties will include:
- To support residents who are living in supported accommodation
- To provide practical and emotional support, assisting residents to achieve independence
- To support residents in understanding and sustaining their tenancy
- To provide individualised support to residents so that they are best able to benefit from the service being offered and are able to manage their lives more effectively and achieve personal goals.
More information on shifts:
Days - four-week set rolling rota, consisting of early shifts 7.15 am – 3.30 pm, and late shifts 2.00 pm – 10.15 pm.
You will be required to have a valid Enhanced DBS disclosure which will be rechecked every 3 years as a minimum.
About you
- You’ll enjoy working with young people within a Housing or Support setting
- Be an excellent communicator
- Be inspirational and creative
- Be IT literate
- Ideally you will have experience or similar within a young people/children supported environment e.g. Support Worker or Youth Worker
- Experience of rent collection, recovery and legal action is desirable
- It would be beneficial to this role if you have a full UK clean driving license and own your vehicle due to required travel to other sites as well as collecting weekly food donations
