Could you plan and deliver direct marketing campaigns which engage, retain and raise income from supporters, helping ActionAid UK deliver on our new strategy ‘Together with Women and Girls’?

Our dedicated local staff are changing the world with women and girls. We are ending violence and fighting poverty so that all women, everywhere, can create the future they want.

In this varied role you will be responsible for delivering varied campaigns, which could include cash and regular giving appeals, feedback, engagement communications and acquisition campaigns through a variety of channels. Using data, you will be able to develop, implement and evaluate campaigns with a focus on optimising results.

You will have proven experience devising and implementing effective and targeted marketing campaigns. You will have close involvement in developing long term supporter journeys, working with other members of the Retention team and you’ll be able to quickly develop great rapport and strong working relationship with a variety of stakeholders including, Data and Analysis, Supporter Comms and Brand and design teams.

You will have experience in negotiating and building effective working relationships with external suppliers too, especially in the management of creative, print or other agencies,

Highly numerate, you will have experience of operational budgeting and planning: proven ability to analyse and interpret financial performance reports and marketing data. To draw conclusions and make clear recommendations based on evidence.

With proven organisational, project and time management skills, you will have the ability to manage often competing schedules. You will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to write, evaluate and proof-read audience appropriate copy.

You will have good knowledge of current Direct Marketing best practice – including codes of practice, regulatory framework and complaints handling to meet regulatory requirements. 

Experience of working for an overseas development charity and experience in fundraising for a not for profit organisation or development organisation are desirable.

Applicants should also be able to provide out of hours cover for emergency fundraising appeals across a range of channels on a rota basis and be able to travel internationally if required.
