Trustee Board member with experience in the healthcare sector

About the position:

They are looking to recruit a Trustee with a clinical background to help develop their links with the NHS and emergency services and to provide a medical perspective on their strategy development. For this role they are seeking candidates who have gained senior level experience within the healthcare sector and have a passion for improving the health and well-being of their members, enabling them to have the peace of mind and confidence to live life to the full. They would particularly welcome candidates with urgent or emergency care experience.

Trustees must meet the following requirements: 

Essential:

  • A clinical background, gained from medical, nursing, allied disciplines or social care at a senior level in a clinically focused role 
  • An ability to influence the strategic direction of an organization and have a passion for delivering quality of service to their members
  • Experience of senior external representation and advocacy, preferably within the healthcare sector
  • Strong teamwork skills, ability to motivate and bring people together.

Desirable:

  • Experience of managing external stakeholders, ideally within the healthcare sector
  • Experience and understanding of charity governance and working with or as part of a Board of Trustees.
