The RHS Fellows is the Society’s highest membership group (our Patrons group), with individuals making an annual contribution of £5,000. The Fellows scheme was launched in 2011 and has grown quickly and we currently have 181 Fellows. The support from the Fellows helps us to achieve our charitable objectives and provides a significant stream of unrestricted income for the Society. In return for their support, Fellows receive a number of benefits along with a year-long programme of events.

We are looking to recruit a Fellows Manager in the growing and dynamic Funding team. This role line manages the Fellows Officer and Funding Administrator and works closely with the Events Manager on the Fellows events.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the Fellows scheme. This includes identifying and recruiting new Fellows, developing and delivering the membership benefits, communication and stewardship of existing Fellows.

You will build and maintain relationships with Fellows, senior RHS Staff and the RHS Council members.

This role is the main point of contact for all RHS Fellows, and you will work closely with the Director of Education, Funding & Communities, Head of Individual Giving, Head of Philanthropy and with other departments to develop relationships with Fellows. Additionally, you will work with the Fellows Development Group, the RHS President and the RHS Director General.

You’ll need great customer service and communication skills, be organised and a team player, with experience of events, membership schemes, managing staff, and working confidently with senior staff and our highest level of supporters.

The annual Fellows Events Programme includes Chelsea Flower Show, Fellows Dinner and Talks and Walks at our five Gardens, as well as trips to other gardens of horticultural interest across the UK.

Based between the head office in London with travel to the RHS Gardens and Shows on a regular basis.
