Summary 

The role of the Product and Training Development Manager will have a strong focus in product development, assessing and coordinating clinical product needs and coordinating new product development with the technical teams in the UK and our US partner. This will also entail both internal and external training development including clinical content creation, training product coordination, and training delivery.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be required to assess and scope clinical and training team product needs via data investigations with internal and affiliate data teams, collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers in the UK and US to create culturally and clinically appropriate products, while working in close partnership with the Data and Insights Team to understand performance and trends. You will lead in investigations of reported incidents on the platform, will work closely with the Head of Operations, effectively and regularly compose and communicate via bespoke training, updates in operations, policies, and procedures. The role will also involve continually reviewing and ensuring clinical best practices are met for all content on the Platform, composing and updating resources on the Platform, writing clinically informed internal and external training content relevant to a digital mental health service, designing and composing bespoke digital mental health training for internal and external delivery, presenting to/ brief partners and potential partners on clinical/ training/ and technical operations of the service.

 

Skills/Qualifications

  • You must have a Masters degree or PhD in Psychology, Psychotherapy or Counselling; 
  • Significant experience working at a senior level on a digital crisis platform with volumes of 3,000+ conversations daily;
  • Significant experience managing mental health product investigation, creation, launch and evaluation;
  • Significant experience in researching, composing and implementing clinical policies and training content for a digital mental health service;
  • Understanding of data analysis and machine learning with 2+ years' experience collaborating with data Scientists;
  • A Psychotherapy/Counselling/Counselling Psychology qualification;
  • Qualification in Clinical Supervision;
  • Accreditation/registration with BACP/UKCP/BPS or equivalent professional body;
  • Strong clinical experience working with range of complex mental health issues, including but not limited to suicide, self-harm, abuse, substance abuse and trauma;
  • Strong clinical expertise in suicide with ASIST or equivalent certification;
  • 5+ years experience in crisis intervention with high risk populations;
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding, confidentiality and risk (qualification advantageous);
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Confident IT, data science and software skills; and
  • Strong training delivery and presentation skills.
