Our client is a leading UK University with a large communications, marketing and student recruitment directorate with clear opportunities for progression.

They have excellent transport links via the M25/M4/M40 and parking on-site.

Description

The Senior Marketing and Communications Officers will be an exceptional creative writer and content manager with a real passion for brand storytelling and the ability to gather relevant information and produce high quality engaging content for all on and offline marketing collateral.

Responsible for writing and delivering copy for third party advertising, publications, e-comms and other marketing collateral, a key focus of the role will be the ability to adapt content to home and overseas audiences in line with the University's brand guidelines, paying attention to key recruitment markets.

The post holder will work closely with the Digital Comms and Applicant Comms teams to support the UK and International Student Recruitment teams to effectively promote the University in market, and will act as an ambassador within the organisation for good marketing practice of the student recruitment brand messaging and tone of voice. The post holder will also have the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders of differing levels of seniority, and the ability to exercise tact and diplomacy when required.

Profile

The successful candidates will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Degree in communications, marketing or public relations or a professional marketing qualification. Alternatively candidates with a degree should be able to demonstrate transferrable skills - such as analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving and self-management skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of writing compelling, clear, concise and effective copy
  • Demonstrable knowledge of UK and International HE marketing trends, channels and platforms of delivery
  • Demonstrable understanding of the principles of branding and importance of brand storytelling
  • Proven knowledge of current marketing, digital trends and emerging technologies and social platforms
  • A track record of writing for multi-channel campaigns
  • Writing ability to tailor style to the needs of particular markets
  • A creative, innovative and enthusiastic with a positive and flexible 'can do' attitude - a real team player
  • Ability to provide solutions and adapt to changing circumstances especially when creating content for international student audiences

£35,963 to £42,488 per annum (incl. of £2166 London Allowance)
