Marketing Officer - Charity

Newark

£25,000

Permanent  (Full time - 35 hours per week)

Our client believes that everyone deserves to live in a healthy, wildlife-rich natural world and that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of wildlife in their daily lives.

They are a grassroots movement of 850,000 members, 43,000 volunteers and 2,800 staff across the UK dedicated to their vision and driven by their beliefs.  There are 36 Wildlife Trusts in England, four in Wales and Trusts for Scotland, Northern Ireland, Alderney and the Isle of Man. They have an unmatched presence on the ground helping to inspire millions of people about wildlife every year and managing nearly 100,000 hectares of land. Being part of this movement enables you to make a real difference and they look for people who share their values.

About the role:

The Marketing Officer will be responsible for the coordination and development of their annual public engagement campaigns, 30 Days Wild and Wild About Gardens, and for developing onward journeys for participants towards supporting the trusts. Working to inspire and empower people to connect with nature, you will analyse and interpret the data captured from the campaigns. You will also ensure that all communications embody the values and beliefs, support their strategy and use audience insights to engage and inspire others to take action.

What they are looking for:

  • Experience of developing content including editing and writing copy for a wide range of audiences, and proofreading communications materials.
  • A background of running successful public-facing engagement and fundraising campaigns, using data analytics to improve effectiveness.
  • A highly organised and driven team worker.
  • An interest in wildlife and environmental issues in the UK.

They value courage, respect, integrity, trust and responsibility.  Whilst they are passionate in promoting their aims, they are not judgemental, and they are inclusive.  Their society is divided, and the Trust wants to reduce, not increase, that division. They are aware that whilst their beneficiaries are reflective of their communities, their staff and trustees are less so. Therefore, they are committed to addressing this.

They are an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.
