Central and East Northamptonshire Citizens Advice (CENCA) has a vision for a fair society for all, with lives well lived. Our mission is to mobilise knowledge to power the change we need and want in society, and a key aspect of this is for people to be able to improve their lives because they know and understand their rights and responsibilities.
We now have an opportunity for a 3 year post qualified housing solicitor to join the charity as a HOUSING LAW SUPERVISOR to deliver and oversee high level housing advice, advocacy and court representation.
The Housing Law Supervisor will need to meet the Legal Aid Agency Supervisor Standard, be an authorised litigator with a current practising certificate and, above all, have a passion for this area of law. We are looking for someone who will share our core values and who has the desire to provide high quality advice and great customer service.
The Citizens Advice service has existed for close to 80 years and has become recognised as a source of rigorously quality assured impartial social welfare advice and information.
The service is delivered in most areas of the UK through a federated network of independent charities.
Our charity delivers core Citizens Advice services to over 7,800 people a year in Northamptonshire, with 20,423 issues, combining face to face, telephone and digital delivery, with over £1.4m of income gained by clients during 2018/19. Providing issue triage, information and self-help and advice casework services are, and always will be, fundamental to delivering our charitable purpose.
Please apply by emailing recruitment@cencab.org.uk and request an application form and job pack.
