Youth Endowment Fund with Impetus

The Youth Endowment Fund is a bold new attempt to put early intervention at the heart of efforts to tackle youth offending. Run by youth charity Impetus, in partnership with the Early Intervention Foundation and Social Investment Business, it is supported with £200m of funding from the Home Office over a 10-year period to support interventions and community partnerships working with 10-14 year olds at risk of being drawn into crime and violence. 

There is an ambition to work with other funders to drive additional resources to this vital work through innovative funding partnerships over the lifetime of the Fund. To achieve this, the Youth Endowment Fund and Impetus are now looking to recruit a Head of Partnerships who will help deliver this funding over the next ten years. 

Focusing on partnerships with bodies such as trusts and foundations (both national and local), corporates, local authorities, other statutory funders and individual philanthropists, the post-holder will develop these relationships and secure significant income that will support and enhance the work of the Youth Endowment Fund.

The Youth Endowment Fund and Impetus are looking for an accomplished and creative senior fundraiser with experience of working across a range of funders who enjoys establishing and building relationships both internally and externally, and has the confidence to work closely with senior leadership, trustees and supporters in order to explore funding opportunities. They will have the awareness to recognise and take the best approach to developing a funding relationship and will enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team. 

This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a pro-active and experienced fundraiser with a passion for supporting young people to help deliver income that will have a direct impact on youth crime and youth offending across England and Wales.
