The Role

The Royal British Legion’s Outreach Service supports vulnerable clients and their families, who are dealing with multiple complex needs, to find practical and sustainable ways to make positive changes, achieve their potential and lead fulfilling lives.

You will have a passion for engaging and supporting clients who may be struggling with offending behaviour, homelessness, domestic violence, substance use or mental health issues. Providing much needed advice, advocacy and on-going support, you will have knowledge and experience of statutory and non-statutory service provision.

In addition, you will have the ability to work using your own initiative, combined with experience of dealing effectively with complex situations. You will have experience of managing a caseload and of prioritising tasks on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to foster and maintain strong relationships to ensure effective work with the people we support, colleagues and other stakeholders.

The post is home-based and requires significant travel across the Legion’s South East Midlands Region, with a caseload prominence in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire.
