The TPP Fundraising and Development team are partnering with a charity focusing on ethical and sustainable food to support the search to a Head of Philanthropy and Development. In this role you will work closely with the Managing Director - Europe to set up a European hub (the charity will be affiliated with an existing US charity) and you will lead on the creation and delivery of a fundraising strategy with an initial focus on major donors. The role will be largely home-based, but will involve some co-working in London (probably once a month) and some travel within Europe.

Working to the MD and alongside another new hire - Head of Operations - you will:

- establish and lead the Development department from scratch
- build strong, meaningful relationships with major donors and prospects from across Europe
- establish systems and processes to manage gift processing
- over time, identify and implement other fundraising revenue streams (with Trusts and Foundations thought to be a natural next step for the charity)

As this is a start-up, we're looking for someone who is happy to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in to building a Development department from scratch. You will be passionate about sustainable and ethical food, with a track record of cultivating relationships with major donors. Ideally your experience will be within the not-for-profit sector, but we are able to consider applications from candidates with a relevant background in the Commercial sector too.
