MAF is the world’s largest humanitarian air operator.  We are proud to be celebrating 75 years of helping to change the ending for some of the most isolated people on the planet.  We are looking for a creative communicator to help us to tell the story of our transformational work, bringing help, hope and healing to those most in need.

To excel in this role, you will possess proven experience in public relations, media or communications along with social media expertise.  You will be a creative, imaginative networker, a strong communicator with experience of writing in a variety of styles to create and present compelling stories and ideas. Calm under pressure, a great team player in a complex matrix team and able to keep multiple balls in the air, your contacts and networking skills will hold you in great stead.

You will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing a PR & Publicity Plan to inspire supporters, journalists and other opinion formers.  You will significantly build, maintain and manage the reputation of MAF amongst key audiences in the UK achieving widespread and effective publicity. 

There is an occupational requirement for the job holder of this position to be a committed Christian.  Additional information is available on request.

Fixed term contract until 31st December 2020, full or part-time working considered.

Benefits: Salary of £33,000FTE. MAF UK provides a non-contributory pension scheme for staff of 10% salary on joining. The full time paid annual leave entitlement is 22 days per year plus 8-statutory paid public holidays per year (including those falling at Christmas and New Year). Leave entitlement will be calculated pro-rata for staff working part time hours.
