Deputy Playcentre Manager/SENCo
Prospectus is pleased to be partnering with PACE (Play Adventure and Community Enrichment) a grass-roots charity who offer inclusive, high quality play and childcare services for the local community in North London. They are currently looking for a committed Deputy Playcentre Manager/SENCo for their relaxed and friendly Fortune Green playcentre in West Hampstead, which offers a wide range of services including afterschool and holiday play provision for children aged 4 -12.
As Deputy Playcentre Manager/SENCo you will contribute to the management of the daily operations of out of school childcare and play services at Fortune Green playcentre, and will fulfil the role of named SENCo for this particular setting. Your responsibilities will include working in partnership with the Playcentre Manager to create and retain a happy and committed staff team, leading them in delivering high quality play services that promote children's health and wellbeing, and assisting in the development of new play projects and services.
To apply for this role you must have an appropriate early years, childcare, education or play work qualification at NVQ level 3 or above that meets the standards required by Ofsted registration and inspection processes. You must have experience of managing staff and leading teams in delivering high quality, inclusive play or childcare service. You will have significant experience of working with disabled children, young people and parents/carers and of facilitating an inclusive child-centred service, and will have demonstrable experience of working in partnership with other agencies and organisations. Overall, you must be a positive, proactive team player, passionate about delivering high quality services to a variety of children.

Please note this role will be to work 17.5 hours per week during term-time (41 weeks per annum), and 35 hours per week during school holidays (11 weeks per annum)
