Our client, one of the most research-intensive art and design institutions in the UK, is currently looking for a Post Award Research Manager to provide overarching support and quality assurance for all matters concerning research and knowledge exchange.
As the organisation's Post Award Research Manager, you will be responsible for finance-related activity including financial stewardship for live grants, financial reporting to funders and other external bodies, as well as support in the management of studentships and grant administration. This role will provide advice and guidance on a range of project funding matters coupled with managing the financial administration of individual project funds. You will also support grant holders and advise budget holders on sponsor contract terms and conditions along with acting as a lead for pre and post award finance matters in the research information system.
To be considered for this role, you will be a proven professional with previous experience in a similar role, working with a range of academic research funders. You will have strong knowledge of project accounting, preferably within a higher education institution environment. With exceptional understanding of project costing and pricing concepts, you will be highly numerate with the ability to communicate complex financial data. Great communication and organisation skills together with experience in building positive working relationships is essential to this post.
