Our client is a ground-breaking international development charity standing for gender equality and human rights. Prospectus is proud to support this organisation in their search for a part-time Women's Economic Empowerment Technical Specialist to join their vibrant team for 18hrs per week. This is an extensive contract role spanning c. 2.5 years.

Reporting to the Programme Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the work among the organisation and crucial stakeholders in gender mainstreaming programmes. With a particular focus on the empowerment of people with disabilities, you will undertake accurate gender analysis and you will design an overarching gender strategy. Your work will be contextualised specifically in providing technical support on developing gender transformative projects in East African and Asian countries.

The ideal candidate is committed to gender equality and has previous experience of technical support to women's economic empowerment projects. Moreover, to be successful, you will have a thorough knowledge of barrier analysis and disability inclusion issues, as well as a postgraduate degree in International Development and/or Gender studies, or equivalent experience. It is essential to have a proven track of record of working with complex stakeholder's networks. Possessing experience of working with people with disabilities would be beneficial.
