Our client is looking for a self-motivated, confident and inspirational individual to join their Regional services team and develop awareness of their services within Bristol.
You will be working closely and engaging with social services teams and agencies to highlight the importance of our client’s work, whilst identifying new referrals, home-visiting people with combined sight and hearing loss and managing a network of volunteers.
What to expect in the role…
No two days are the same in this role, you may be visiting members in their homes identifying an effective service based on their needs; or running a local volunteer fair to gain interest from potential volunteers; or attending a forum / networking meeting to talk about the everyday challenges faced with sight and hearing loss.
This role will also involve various administrative duties including recording data, monthly reporting, planning and reviewing of projects and working towards targets and agreed objectives.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Need to be a confident communicator with a passion for networking with agencies and dealing with volunteers.
- Ideally have proven experience of working with people who have a disability, sensory impairment or within the older people sector.
- Ideally hold a social care qualification or equivalent through experience
- Comfortable travelling independently around the set geographical area, therefore having a full driving licence and own transport to undertake independent travel is essential, but alternative arrangements could be considered for candidates who are disabled as travelling will be part of your weekly role.
Benefits
Choosing to work within our client’s unique services you will not only be benefiting from a supportive network of colleagues, this will also be complimented by an excellent benefits package including:
- Competitive annual leave allowance
Please note interviews will be held on 21st November 2019
