Legal Advisors - Solicitors

We are actively recruiting for 2 maternity cover contracts (12 months) in our busy legal team to provide advice, support and guidance to the Age UK Group, which is solution focused, timely and legally compliant. As both an individual contributor and an efficient team player, you will work closely with the Head of Legal and the wider team to ensure that an appropriate legal service is provided to the charity.
You will be:
Reviewing and negotiating general commercial contracts
Managing and reporting compliance with trading principles/obligations
Managing external legal disputes, when required
Monitor new laws and regulations for implications that may affect Age UK
Take responsibility for ensuring that the charity and its subsidiaries comply with legal requirements
Support internal clients, providing legal advice across a range of subjects including IP, media, data protection and trademark enforcement.
Skills and Experience:
* An LLB or equivalent, plus a post-graduate degree in a law related field
* 2 - 4 years' experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
* Expertise in commercial law (essential)
* Expertise in charity law (desirable)
* Excellent academic credentials
* Admitted and qualified to practice Law in England and Wales
* Advanced problem solving capabilities
* Excellent writing and communication skills
* Considers commercial implications of decisions
* Understands Age UK, the brand and our strategy
* Attention to detail
* The ability to multi-task, work flexibly and cover for colleagues in their absence
