Head of Communications
Are you a communications professional with a passion to bring out the best in today's youth and their communities?
Prospectus is thrilled to be working exclusively with Youth Business International, who have already supported over 95,000 young people to start or grow a business. They do this by delivering a range of practical entrepreneurship support services, from guiding a young person to register a new business and improving their bookkeeping skills, to helping them write a business plan or grow their fledgling business through facilitating access to finance. They are now looking for a Head of Communications in a new role to develop and leverage their ambitious vision and mission.
The overall purpose of this role is to review and lead Youth Business International's global communications strategy. This includes managing the budgets, line managing the team, leading engaging communication campaigns, building relationships with media contacts and overseeing their social media presence. You will support the gathering of engaging content across a global network, develop brand guidelines and lead the production and publication of impactful materials. Overseeing the bi-monthly newsletter is also part of this role, in addition to supporting event communications. Having brilliant story-telling skills and a natural entrepreneurial "can-do" approach will also be valuable.
To be successful as a Head of Communications, you will having excellent writing and editing skills, a strong eye for detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines. You will have deep experience developing and delivering communication strategies, using analytical tools to track campaign performance and have a proven track record in leading teams. Being able to demonstrate experience leading communications in corporate partnerships is a must, alongside a passion for youth development and an eagerness to grown in a fast-paced environment.
