Bluebell Wood is a place as magical as its name. We’re here to help families make the most amazing memories, and we provide a home from home in the toughest of times. The children who stay with us have a wonderful time in our soft play area and six acres of gardens, and can experience arts and crafts, music therapy and many more activities during their stay. We provide specialist medical care both at the hospice and to support families in their own homes. Many people who haven’t visited us think a hospice is a sad place but at Bluebell Wood, this couldn't be further from the truth, and we make the very most of each moment.

We need to raise £4 million a year to keep our doors open and keep delivering 50,000 hours of life-changing care. So this is a tall order: we’ll expect you to expand and transform our income-generating activities and challenge accepted wisdom in everything we do. At the heart of our Strategic Leadership Team, you will maximise our income streams across individual, community and corporate giving, events, trusts, major donors, retailing and our lottery.

Your inspiring leadership will get the most from every member of our team, and you’ll be a high-profile ambassador for the organisation – making sure everybody knows about our vital work. Commercially astute, financially aware and highly entrepreneurial, you’ll be a seasoned fundraiser with an impressive record of success. Driving change, championing best practice and delivering innovation should be second nature to you, and you will bring deep knowledge of charity and fundraising legislation. Above all, you will possess the passion to transform our income generation - so you’ll be central to our successful future.

In return, we offer flexible working arrangements in a unique, relaxed and welcoming environment, a generous pension scheme, enhanced healthcare benefits, subsidised meals and 33 days’ annual leave (including bank holidays). However, your biggest reward will be helping us make children and families smile in the most difficult of circumstances.

If you’re interested in using your professional skills to really make a difference to children and families, then we would love to hear from you. To find out more and apply, please visit our website via the apply button.

Closing date: 10am on 1st November 2019.
