Working Chance is an award-winning charity supporting women with convictions and care leavers into sustainable employment. Working with employers across all sectors, the charity provides a bespoke service helping women to turn their lives around. Working Chance also works to change the attitudes of employers, tackling prejudice about hiring staff with a conviction.
Working closely with the Chief Executive, your regular duties will include preparation of monthly management accounts, supporting the fundraisers with the budgetary aspects of funding bids and reports, as well as preparation of the annual budget and annual accounts. Acting as the Company Secretary, you will lead on governance duties alongside strategic business planning. As well as line managing one direct report, the placed candidate will oversee the development of overall office systems including HR, facilities and IT.
To be considered for this role, it is essential to have substantial experience across all aspects of finance such as budgeting, reporting, cash flow and management accounts. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of charity accounting including SORP, accompanied with good understanding of charity governance, HR and IT. You'll be highly adept with accounting software. As an experienced line manager, you are also required to be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
