Arthur Rank Hospice Charity supports people in Cambridgeshire who are living with a life-limiting illness. Delivered from our new location at Shelford Bottom, Cambridge and the Alan Hudson Day Treatment Centre in Wisbech, our care and services are provided free of charge and we have been recognised, this year, as outstanding by CQC. Our professional, compassionate and practical services deliver care, counselling and education, helping our patients and their loved ones to make every moment count.

An exciting and brand new role has now become available for the appointment of Head of Fundraising who will play a significant part in helping to support our high-performing fundraising team.

Based: Cambridge

Hours: Full-time (37.5 p/w), some evening and weekend work will be required, time off in lieu (TOIL) will be provided in these instances
Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent

You will be responsible for overseeing the teams who are securing income from individuals and groups fundraising in the community, and driving income through third party and mass participation fundraising events and products for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. This role will work in collaboration with the Head of Engagement to place the supporters or donor at the heart of our strategy and in doing so, develop fundraising for the benefit of the whole team and the wider charity.

The Head of Fundraising will also work closely with the Director of Fundraising and Communications and the Senior Leadership Team, and be required to play a key role in the continued development and implementation of the strategy with your direct reports. Your role will see you develop your own relationships to raise funds, whilst also supporting your team to achieve their objectives.

In this role, you will be required to show excellent leadership to the team, helping to drive the fundraising strategy, in addition to, taking a leading role in the development of appropriate products and events to support sustainability within the charity. 

An ideal candidate will be very well organised, confident public speaker, able to manage a number of different projects and application processes at any one time,  have GCSE Grade C and above in English and Maths, experience of line managing a team,  as well as excellent understanding of donor CRM systems.

A full and clean UK driving licence as well as use of own car (mileage will be paid) will be required.
