Senior New Product Development Manager

£46-£50,000pa

Living Planet Centre Woking

Woking, Surrey GU21 4LL

Experienced in managing New Product Development projects you are ready for a new challenge and the opportunity to deliver NPD projects that have momentous impact. That is exactly the opportunity we can offer you at WWF UK.  We are working to find solutions to the greatest environmental problems facing our planet and you can be a part of the team.

As a member of the world’s principal independent conservation organisation we want you to play an important role in helping bring our organisation closer to our supporters and the broader public through new product development that will help unlock the potential and drive impactful delivery of our audience engagement.

We have ambitious goals to increase our support and income over the next few years, and as Senior NPD Manager you will collaborate with colleagues to design new ways to engage with our audiences and to increase our impact. You will lead NPD, consulting with teams to help shape and build the portfolio of NPD that will best support our work. You will take responsibility for delivering new products that will grow income and non-financial engagement. Employing a hub and spoke approach you will support new product scoping, planning, testing and delivery by providing centralised strategic and practical aid. You will also provide guidance to colleagues, helping develop briefs and proposals and working to get projects off the ground and running. Important will be the ability to create a strong overall portfolio of development work that is strongly grounded in insight and supporters’ needs. Overall, you will help to foster and embed a culture of innovation at WWF.

You must have extensive experience in managing innovation and NPD projects and a proven track record of establishing, coordinating and managing pipelines of new product development. This will have given you a strong grasp of effective process, financial modelling and risk management. An advocate of good design thinking you relish the opportunity to be creative and innovate within the guidelines of a brand identity. Used to working with fundraising, insight and communications teams, you enjoy managing a large portfolio of projects and are adept at controlling budgets and overseeing relationships with suppliers and partners.

Calm under pressure you will possess good communication and presentation skills, an eye for detail and the ability to multi-task. You will also be an effective project manager too. You are also highly organised and able to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.

How to Apply

If you have the creative flair and passion for nature we would love to hear from, so please visit our website via the link and complete the online registration and submit a copy of your up to date CV with cover letter highlighting why you are interested in this role as well as why this role is for you.

At WWF-UK we are committed to creating an inclusive working environment, where diversity is valued and there is equality of opportunity. We therefore welcome applications from all sections of the community and we offer a range of benefits to encourage a work life balance.

Our world needs you like never before. We are the first generation to know we are destroying the world and we could be the last that can do anything about it. We’re looking for people who are passionate about making it politically, socially and economically unacceptable to destroy our planet’s natural resources. We need you to join us in the fight for our world.

Company

Best known as the world’s leading conservation body, we’ve seen first-hand how wildlife, the environment and human activity are all interlinked.

That’s why our passion for safeguarding the natural world has to be backed up by other environmental action – tackling the global threat of climate change (through our big global campaigns like Earth Hour) and helping people to change the way they live to ease pressure on natural resources.

WWF is at the heart of global activities in all these areas. We have teams of highly skilled professionals working with governments, businesses and communities here in the UK and around the world.
