Prospectus is supporting a professional body made up of energy specialists looking to ensure the future of the world's energy is sustainable, reliable and safe. They are currently looking for a Front-end Developer to join their Digital Development team on a permanent basis.

The overall purpose of this role is to use development best practice to develop new online tools, resources and services; provide on-going support with colleagues and assisting the team to ensure the highest levels of design and usability for the website. A key part of this role is keeping up to date with the latest technology developments, working closely with technical partners and assisting with editing and publishing digital content.

To be successful as a Front-end Developer you will have an excellent understanding of HTML5 and CSS3 and the ability to programme within JavaScript/jQuery. You will have experience creating interactive mock-ups and understand how to improve user experience and cross-browser compatibility. Being highly organised and having excellent communication skills is vital. It is desirable to have an understanding of SEO and knowledge of Adobe CC, but it is not a requirement.
