Job Details
We have an excellent opportunity for a proactive and resourceful individual to gain experience in international development, joining our client as a Programme Support Officer.
Position: Programme Support Officer
Location: Based in Sidmouth, Devon – “an area of outstanding natural beauty”
Hours: Full-time 35 hours per week
Salary: £26,069 per annum
Contract: Permanent

This increases by one day each year until a maximum of 34 days is reached.

The Programme Support Officer will work closely to support the Head of Programme Support to ensure internal capacities, competencies and resources are in place for the effective delivery of the global programme of donkey welfare activities.
The Role
The Programme Support Officer will be assigned as the support officer for a specific region and along with a team of other support officers working together to ensure that the needs of teams across the organisation (including those located in regional hubs, Communications, Content, Advocacy and Fundraising teams) are met, so powerful campaigns can be delivered to stakeholders including media contacts and influencers, supporters and other key stakeholders.
About You
The ability to develop and maintain excellent collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders is essential, as are:
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while dealing with a diverse number of tasks and multiple deadlines.
Flexibility will be required for overseas travel. A second language, preferably French or Spanish, is also desirable.
