The Organisation:
The Human Safety Net is Generali's initiative for the community, launched in 2017 and now active in almost 25 countries. Based in Italy, The Human Safety Net Foundation (THSN), works in cooperation with the Business Units of the Generali Group in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Its mission is to unlock the potential of disadvantaged people, so that they can transform their lives and that of their families and communities. Current programme focus areas, based on a clear theory of change and a rigorous approach are: early childhood development, newborn health and refugee livelihoods. The Foundation's ambition is to deploy the company's international network of 55.000 employees, 200.000 agents and 57 million customers towards shared goals, creating a chain of people helping people, moving beyond traditional grant making models.
The Role:
The Foundation is poised to expand its programme capacity and are looking to engage in partnerships at a variety of levels with: corporate clients, suppliers, governments and institutions. They are now hiring a Partnership Manager to drive these efforts leveraging THSN existing network, in Italy and the countries where the Foundation is operational, creating meaningful collaborations and amplifying the impact of The Human Safety Net internationally.
A key part of the Partnership Manger role will be to identify, promote and maintain strategic partnerships with companies, international organisations, public donors, foundations, and high net worth individuals and mobilise financial and in-kind resources for the programmes in core markets (Italy, France, Germany), as well as CEE and Asia.
Reporting into the Head of Programmes, the Partnership Manager will work closely with the Programmes and Engagement teams to identify and operationalise areas of collaboration within THSN programmes and other Generali business units and to integrate partners into THSN network, allowing them to join ongoing volunteering, fundraising and advocacy initiatives.
The Person:
With extensive experience in partnership management, sales, fundraising or business development you will have a demonstrated interest in social impact and knowledge and exposure to foundations and international development organisations in sectors relevant to THSN. The right person for the role will have a demonstrated network in Italy as well as an ability to cultivate effective working relationship with philanthropists, corporates and the media.
